I'm back baby....

I've decided to get back into the whole blogging malarkie. I started to really pressurise myself into posting and I just got bored and fell out of love with it.

But now I feel re inspired so let me know if there is anything you would like to see. I was also thinking of doing some rambling sort of opinion posts as opposed to just fashion and beauty If there is anything you would like to see me write about then comment below.

MTV Movie Awards: Best Dressed

Hello internet friends,
How've you been? Well as I normally do a review of every major red carpet event I thought I would just do a best dressed list as I don't think that I had a lot to say about their clothes so yeah, sorry for lack of effort but I have exams so you'll have to lump it!

Huge Haul!

Hello internet friends,

I recently noticed I have been buying loads of stuff because I had been saving since January and I had all my birthday money to splash so I decided to buy some make up because spring is coming and I don't care what the weather people say!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - 164 Tantrum - £4.99
I really like this lipstick. Its quite nice for day wear and you can wear it at different intensities (if that makes sense!) It looks a bit less in your face that a bright red and for someone who doesnt realy have a strong lip colour I really like this. And it smells like cherries.

Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish - Lychee - £3.99
This is so cute! I was shocked that Barry M didn't do a normal nude colour nail varnish so I was forced into spending the extra pound on the jelly one which I love! It's most redeeming quality for me is that it can smooth over any bumps or imperfections in your base coat which I love!

MUA Eye Shadow Palette - Glamour days - £4.00
I really love this palette the colours are really pigmented and there is a wide variety of colours to chose from. There are a few with a little gold shimmer effect to it which I really like and the colours aren't too overpowering when they are on your eye.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - 003 Peach Ivory - £3.99
I am afraid to say I have fallen for the hype. I really like this product it does exactly what it says on the tin. Dirt cheap and as good as high end definatly worth it.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - 100 Ivory - £8.99
OMG I am in love. I brought this in preparation for the summer and I absolutely love it. t gives very good coverage and is so easy to apply and gives that infamous dewy finish. Definitely repurchasing.

Batiste Dry shampoo - Cherry - £2.99
Very good as you all know. I just love this one because it does actually smell of cherries and that is one of my favourite smells and plus it is super cheap as well so that's good.

BArry M Brushes - Eyeshadow - £2.99
I really like this brush it is very good at its job and does work well with pressed eyeshadows. It is very good  quality in realtion to the price as those students among us cant splash out on all the fancy brushes all the time.

Eyelure False Lashes - 070 Naturalites - £5.25
I really like these lashes they do look really natural so they are good for a night out for friends where you don't want a really heavy eye look.

Okay so that's it for what I bought in Superdrug needless to say my mother wasn't best pleased with how much I had bought but oh well! I am also on the look out for a new make up bag so if you know where I can get a nice one for a reasonable price please comment below!

I am also thinking of doing an MTV movie awards fashion review so you can look forward to that!

Exams! Arrghh!

Hello there butties,
I am currently supposed to be revising biology but the damn internet machine keeps distracting me! DAMN YOU! I think this period of the year is filled with seeing your friends tweet about how much revising they're doing and your like yeah.... not gonna do it and then when results day rolls around your like damn I wish I listened to the little angel on my shoulder not the devil.

I was lucky enough in my GCSE's to get 10 A's and 2 B's without revising very much but I was just lucky, I really don't know how on earth I did it to be honest. But my friend Karam got an A* in all of his exams and he revised so hard, like everyday for 4 hours or something ridiculous. Now I am not saying that you have to do that much or even that I am but I think it is definitely best to actually do it.

As someone who suffers from anxiety I can tend to panic and really stress out when it comes to exam times but I have ways which I calm myself down.

  • Don't cram. It is the stupid way of revising, nothing goes in and you just stress yourself out.
  • Try and come up with funny or different ways to look at what you have to know so you don't see it as some scary monster that is going to swamp your brain, but more of a self written episode of QI
  • Take water into the exam with you. I am pretty sure every exam board allows it and keeping your brain hydrated is essential for brain function (don't ya know)
  • If you feel yourself panicking just take 2 minutes to just think, don't write anything down, don't look at everyone else, just have a drink, and draw a smiley face on your hand and just take yourself away for a second.
  • Manage your time, my RE teacher said if you have long answer questions and you're a rambler do them first as they will get you the most marks. Generally a minute a mark.
  • If you can't do it, don't stress, move on and come back later. Questions later on in the paper may jog your memory anyway!
  • Take a revision break! I know it may sound a bit stupid but just go on a walk with the dog or treat yourself to some Easter chocolate and watch a bit of Jeremy Kyle just take it easy!
So just keep calm and carry on I am going to get back to my revision.

p.s. good luck to anyone with exams coming up! Go Revise!

Victoria looks so pretty in this Pia Pauro Dress. I love the print because its not too overpowering and still looks pretty. I also love those shoes if anyone knows any where where I can get some from please leave it in the comment section!

Lucy Hale
lucy hale kids choice

I really like this dress with the understated monochrome look. I also like how she has zazzed it up with a neon pink lipstick I think if she didn't she would just fade into the background.

Selena Gomez
selena gomez kids choice

She looks so pretty in this pastel outft teaming it up with a bit of shimmer. Oscar de la Renta did a good job on this one!

Zendaya Coleman

I love that she put a jumper over this Alice + Olivia dress. It looks so cute and I will defiantly be trying this! A way to girly up a winter look (and with this weather we are going to need it!)

Halston Sage

I absolutly love this dress I love all the shapes and things it really catches your eye. I like the hints of navy blue which clashes with the white. So pretty!

Thanks again for dropping by my blog. Please put any requests in the comment section and I will try and do them and also give you blog a little name drop too!

Fashion Reveiw :Oz The Great and Powerful Premieres

Hello internet friends,
Okay as a new blogger I find myself trying to find what sort of blog I want to write. Recently I have found myself really enjoying doing celebrity fashion posts and really enjoying it so I may be doing a few more posts like this in the future but I will also be doing the odd make up post aswell. This month the new film Oz The Great and Powerful was premièring so I have decided to compare each of the 3 main females outfits in each location.

Michelle Williams
As we would expect from Michelle she looks amazing (so not jealous!) and can pull off a classy style with ease. Sporting Burberry in London, Prada in La la Land and Jason Wu in Moscow. I personally think she looked best at the Moscow premiere because it is avery bold choice and the gold sort of ties in with the movie nicely!

 Mila Kunis

Wow. She always looks amazing(well she is sexiest woman alive!) She really hasn't disappointed on the fashion front at any of these premieres, but everytime I look at her I cant help but get serious hair envy! Mila was wearing McQueen in the UK, D&G in LA and Versace in Moscow. I think she looked sexiest in Moscow I love the whole cut out almost see-through illusion it really shapes the body.

Rachel Weisz

I think Rachel is so gorgeous and she can always pull off a floor length gown. Unfortunatly she didnt attened the Moscow premiere for an reason unknown to me but that doesn't matter. I think it was a bold choice to go for orange in LA epecially with a green background but I actually think it made her stand out alot more.Rachel wore Michael Kors in London and Victoria Beckham in LA. I think she looked best in London because I am a sucker for a pale dress and sweetheart neckline!

Well that's that! I hope everyone that goes and sees it enjoys it if you did comment below so I will know if i must go snd see it aswell. If ou have any other celebrity events you would like me to review again let me know in the comments!

Oscars vs. Brits

After the wild success of my review of the Bafta vs. Grammy post I thought I would do a review of another cross atlantic music v. film award fashion me-bob, so here it goes!

British in Black
I think both of these girls look absoultly stunning! Adele shines in her Jenny Packham dress and Emeli plays it simple as both of these girls love to do normally. Bothof them winnning at their respective awards all I can say is well done and this will be close!

WINNER: Emeli Sande

Dare to Plunge.
I must admit I am in love with Samantha's red carpet looks everytime! However Jessie J looks amazing on her last red carpet before the shaving her hair off for Comic Relief!

WINNER: Samantha Barks

Blue Belles
Well Jennifer Hudson always looks stunning in a red carpet floor length gown I love the embellishment on it too! Although Caroline Flack does look lovely in the wind with this flowy dress with nude heels!

WINNER: Jennifer Hudson

High Neck Hot Shots
Again surprizingly enough Anne Hathaway has made it on my best dressed but T. Swift looks amazing and was I think the best dressed at the Brits!

WINNER: Taylor Swift

Rose Tinted Glasses
Getting over her fall at the Oscars Jennifer stole some looks in this amazing dress by Dior, however Laura looks lovely in this dress. It was a grower for me thouh when I sawit on the red carpet show I wasnt too sure  but now I love it!

WINNER: Jennifer Lawrence

Embellished Ladies
Another Les Mis actress in my list again (but they do have amazing style!) Amanda is wearing Alexander McQueen but I don't think Aluna Francis is to be over looked she looks amazing! Much like Jennifer Hudson did at the Oscars!

WINNER: Amanda Seyfried

Pure and Simple
I have to say Leigh-Anne was the only member of Little Mix that looked like she had made an effort and it has payed off she looks amazing! Charlize looks so glamorous in her Dior dress she really is the face of the simple and elegant !

WINNER: Charlize Theron

Shoulder Pads For The Win
Damn! Halle Berry is channelling the 20's in this Versace number. Even though I have no idea who Iggy Azelda is I think she looks really pretty in this dress!

WINNER: Iggy Azelda

So the overall winner is the Oscars but lets be honest it wasn't really a fair fight with all of the film world pulling out the big guns for this event but I thought that there was so many other lovely dressed women at the awards that I couldnt find a pair for so this is my highly commended list!

Jessica Chastain                                                                                                                     Amy Adams

Jennifer  Aniston                                                                                                                      Zoe Saldana

Well there it is! Did you agree with my choices? Let me know if you would like to see more of this!

How To | Book Hearts

Okay so this isn't going to be what you would normally expect form my blog and don't expect too much like this in the future because I am not very crafty, but I saw this on an episode of super scrimpers and with my sister and we thought it looked really cool! After I found myself bored with a lot of spare time over this half term I thought I would actually do it! It really isn't that difficult and took me about 10 minutes per heart!

Okay so here's what you are going to need:

  • A book you no longer want
  • A pencil
  • A ruler
  • A stapler (or glue)
  • Scissors
  • String (or ribbon)

Step 1: Rip out several pages of your book I am using one about horoscopes I got free with a magazine.

Step 2: Rule one of the pieces of paper into 3

Step 3: Cut down those lines!

Step 4: Now draw lines on the bottom of two of them so they are different lengths.

 Step 5: Cut them too!
Step 6: Repeat all of the steps from step 2 again so you have 6 strips of 3 different lengths.

Step 7: Pull them all together going from left to right: Short, middle length, long, long, middle length, short

Step 8: Staple them all together. (Please excuse my dusty stapler!)

Step 9: bend all of the pieces back on them self put to the same length then staple them together.

Now you have your heart!

Step 10: Repeat this for as many hearts as you want I chose to do 3.

Step 11: Punch 2 holes in the top of the heart the further apart they are the better the hang of it.

And that's it it looks so cool and it is so simple for those of us who are craftilly challenged and its dirt cheap too! Perfect!

Please let me know if you liked this post and my other how to ones and any other things you want me to comment on. I think I will do another celebrity fashion post because I think they are my best ones, but I will do other stuff too.
